As a small pause from shoemaking, I’ve worked on a couple of other leatherworks in time for Christmas. These are the results.

Coasters

These coasters are made of two layers of vegetable tanned full grain Italian calf, cemented together with the grain side out, branded, hand painted, and hand sewn. As a final touch, the brand is emphasized with black ink, and the coasters are polished with Saphir Renovateur and Pate de lux.

The coaster box is decorated with the same hand painted calf, and hand sewn with nylon thread. (At its core, the box is cardboard based, carved into shape and spray painted black). The side is branded with the name of the recipient.
